First, you need a free version of Ecab plugin

You can install Taxi Booking Manager – Ecab from the WordPress directory.

You need to install and activate WooCommerce to use Ecab, if you have installed already proceed to the next setting.

Now, go to your Transportation tab and select Global Settings -> Google Map API Settings.

Paste the Google MAP API key and click Save Changes.

Without adding an API key your maps won’t work accurately.

Now to enable the geofencing feature, you need to install the Ecab Pro plugin.

Enable GeoFence

Click Operation Areas and add a new post.

Let’s create a Single Operation Area geofence.

Add Single Operation Geofence to a Taxi

Go to the All Transportation tab

Select Operation Area -> Geofence for a single Operation area.

Click Update and let’s check how single operation area geofence works.

Go to your taxi booking site.

Select the date and time.

Then pick a pickup location and drop off location under geofence and click search.

You will find the car that you have configured for the geofence single operation area.

Now let’s try another location outside of the geofence area.

You won’t find the name of the car you have selected for the geofence single operation area.

Enable Intercity Geofence 

Again, go to the Operations Area tab and give your geofence title.

Select the Operation type as Intercity Operation Area.

Now create geofence for two different locations where one location will be an old town and the other one will be a new town.

After creating an intercity geofence you need to select the price increase based on fixed or percentage amount.

Your price will vary based on the direction as both directions or one direction.

Then Click update and add the intercity geofence to specific taxi cars.

Again, go to the All Transportation tab and select a car.

Now click Operation Area and select Intercity.

Then Click Update.

Go to your Taxi booking site and add the date and time.

Add pickup and drop-off locations from your old town geofence.

After searching, you will find the car name configured under the intercity geofence zone.

So in this way, you can configure geofence for intercity for any taxi vehicle you want.
